Jim_DukeAll of his life, Jim Duke has applied his time and talent to helping others in his community.  As a youth leader at his church home in Santa Monica, California he mentored middle school teens, as a concerned citizen he led his County Water Authority for over 20 years in Virginia, and as a community leader in Cornelius he headed his homeowners association for 6 years.  Jim currently serves on several committees and on three volunteer boards in Mecklenburg County.  Giving his time and talent is second nature and he will do the same for all of Cornelius.

A Problem Solver

Jim has a track record of finding talent and using that talent to help create solutions both large and small.   He has been a force for good wherever he has lived.  Jim leads by example and gets things done that have long gone undone.  His focus in Cornelius has always been about issues relating to quality of life, safety, and investing intelligently in our community.  He knows that low taxes and a broad tax base are what continue to make Cornelius a wonderful place to live.
